Patricia Moreira-Cali, MS, RD/LD, CDE, is an experienced Registered Clinical Dietitian (RD), Certified Diabetes Educator (CDE), Researcher, Speaker, and Consultant, with a Bachelors of Science in Dietetics and Master in Nutrition Science from the University of California at Davis (UCD). She has also been a Professor at Florida International University and Santa Fe College, a researcher at UCD and DNEC, and a consultant for the University of Florida. She lectures nationally and internationally on topics related to diabetes and weight management.
For over 15 years, Patricia has practiced as a clinician specializing in diabetes, weight control, eating disorders, high cholesterol, hypertension, kidney failure and other nutrition related conditions. She has worked at the Joslin Diabetes Center and other diabetes centers where she not only acted as an educator, but also played a key role in developing the programs’ curriculum. In 2004 she founded her own practice, the Diabetes and Nutrition Education Center (DNEC), an American Diabetes Association accredited program.
As a vibrant educator, Patricia creates individually tailored programs to meet the unique needs of each client, using the latest research findings. She is trusted by numerous referring physicians, with whom she communicates sending progress notes and recommendations. As a passionate health advocate, her mission is to help clients achieve optimal wellness through balanced eating and a healthy lifestyle.

The outstanding metabolic outcomes achieved by her patients have been presented in annual professional conferences of the American Association of Diabetes Educator (2007), the International Diabetes Federation (2006 and 2009) and the American Diabetes Association (2010).
On a personal note, Patricia is married and a mother to Amanda and Yannick, speaks three languages, loves gardening and nature. She has a passion for world culture and photography. She enjoys traveling, particularly to places many would call “unconventional” vacation destinations.
